Hypnosis is the method whereby we use relaxation, fixation or trance to induce a deeply relaxed body and a highly focused centre of attention in the subconscious mind. When we are in that altered state of trance and awareness our subconscious mind is open, accessible and highly responsive to suggestion or direction.
The Subconscious mind (or unconscious mind as some may call it) is 30,000 times more powerful than our conscious/active mind, so when we utilise it's potential and plant seeds of suggestion here, change becomes easy and effortless.
WHAT IS HYPNOTHERAPY?
HOW DO I KNOW IF I CAN BE HYPNOTISED?
Trance is a natural phenomenon that we spontaneously slip into many times throughout the day. (Daydreaming is a fantastic example of this)
To be a successful candidate for hypnosis, clients only need to be able to sit back, listen to the suggestions they are given and allow their body to relax and enter that state of trance as guided.
Almost all people have the capability to be hypnotised, how successful the treatment works is determined by how open-minded and positive the client is and how strong the desire for change is.
Please note hypnosis may not be suitable for certain mental health conditions. Please contact our team or see your GP prior to your session if this is a concern for you.
Hypnosis feels like a state of deep relaxation where you're almost asleep. Your body may start to feel heavy and tired and you may feel like parts of your body have gone to sleep.
It's also common to experience a tingling sensation if we are focusing on particular body parts.
WHAT DOES HYPNOSIS FEEL LIKE?
Hypnotherapy is a safe, non-invasive treatment that offers an alternative approach to medications and/or surgery. Hypnotherapy is completely safe. You cannot and will not get stuck in a state of trance. I promise!
Hypnosis is safe regardless of most medical conditions and for those on regular medications. Hypnosis is not recommended for those suffering with serious mental illness. If you are unsure if hypnotherapy is right for you, contact our friendly team or check in with your family GP.
IS HYPNOTHERAPY SAFE?
When a client is committed to the treatment and their desire to change is strong, hypnosis is highly effective. Whilst we do not offer a money-back guarantee we will work with you to isolate blocks that may have hindered your initial results and will offer helpful advice and suggestions on how to get on track to reaching your goals.
